Bottom post of the previous page:

@Circuitmaster, agreed.

About the little overtaking potential, 'matters not to me.
A race is a race, green to checkered. Passing or no passing, a winner's still the first across the finish line.
Looks different and interesting so I'm game to wait and see. 'Holding judgement 'til then.

It'll be like a running race with a chain gang.

I'll try to see the positives. At least many corners with the camber as it should be.

3 DRS zones it seems.... according to something I read somewhere. Hasn't really got 3 straights though.

A race nonetheless.

'Better qualify better to finish better if that's the case.

In essence, do better period. That's what real racng is about, not "orchestrated" close shows.

No it hasn't. Besides the S/F straight, there is nowhere else you can open your DRS.

If that's the case, then let's just have qualifying and end the weekend there.

Oh heavens no!!! "E" for effort though.

That would be like watching my auto racing fandom roots, drag racing (pretty much all we got on TV here in the states way back when).

Then I started reading about real racing.....more and more racing showed on TV......(where cars most often finished laps apart),

Yup, I need a little distance in them....time for drivers and crews to out perform each other (OR to make mistakes, parts to break).

Oh no.....you thought wrong.

We've still been watching races where teams are outperforming each other as stated above. :)

MB in P1 and P2 on Saturday and then again on Sunday...for many years...
--- but ---
This year it might be different. It seems others are closer, and unexpected can happen.

Hmmmmmmm...... Something appears to be amiss here. Perhaps you should review the past seasons results.
A) There have been numbers of races where that just isn't so.

B) Absolutely, the competition may be closer. as I stated in a previous post....teams must "In essence, do better period. That's what real racing is about, not "orchestrated" close shows."

On this very rare occasion F1 is pressing all right buttons with me. If I had anything to do with such project, I would probably follow the same lines of thinking.

Mango as a reward fruit for the home team. (Brawn has done very little in recent years to please me, but this time he did well.)
I do have to ask...what is remotely promising about this?

Did you know that during the Formula E race in Saudi Arabia, a missile was intercepted and shot out of the sky? They don't believe it was intended to hit the FE track itself, but it was shot down over the same city:

Is that Sepang or Sebring? I'd love the latter.....only 140 miles away.

It's also important to remember that the cars are changing a lot for next year.. so what you're looking for in a track may change quite a bit (Although I know we don't get to keep this one for very long).

Will we even need/want DRS in 2022? If the cars can follow closely, we may be able to see some passes without the classic long straight, tight corner, combination.

Missile here, missile there, not a big deal. I threw much heavier things against my tube on one or two occasions.

Rather not to Sebring.
