That Ferrari is beautiful.

We are fortunate enough to have 2 that run regularly down here in Aus. Beautiful cars. Laurie Bennett is regularly competing in his all round the world.
He races his hard despite his age and actually had a slow rollover at Sandown last November. It was all pristine again by Phillip Island though.

Car still races today.... in fact it was for sale for a mere $250,000.
It is more an Elfin Sports car underneath the GTV Alfetta bodywork

Pretty easy to find...there were only two iirc. Lola and Reynard.
Aaaaahhh yes. The aging horse that John Cannon rode to beat the B & D Show by a lap with ; wearing the only set of F5000 (they ran on Saturday) rain "shoes" in the wet '68 'Guna Seca round of the Can Am. (He'd been out-qualified by 5 seconds in the dry.) They worked better than the Can Am wets....
Those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end.....

I think I read a comment somewhere that said the car was more a F5000 than a "normal" touring car. Would not surprise me. I've always wondered: Were there any strict regulations in these championships?Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑4 years agoCar still races today.... in fact it was for sale for a mere $250,000.

I figgered that....same cars underneath though. That's how I determine a good looking race car, it itself, not the "paint" job.

My cousin has an Austin A35 which until recently he used to race for the HRDC (Historic Racing Drivers Club). I always thought that was a very nice car
