We've reached 400 entries!
Thanks to DaleJuniorFan for continuing to add historic ARCA and NASCAR crashes to the database. I'm still working on the British crashes side of things and updating the database with some recent photos which have been posted to the forums.

Just want to get your recommendation for a future entry into the database. It occurs in the 1990 Daytona ARCA 200, in which driver Slick Johnson is killed in a large pileup. While medics are tending to another driver involved in the above-mentioned crash, another car slides into the area and collides into the emergency workers (The emergency workers survived). Video below:
Should I lump the two incidents into one entry, or separate the driver fatality and the medics getting hit into two entries?

That's a good question.
Another similar episode is Farina's crash during the 1953 Argentinian Grand Prix, where, after that, an ambulance killed some spectators.
Should we separate the crashes?

No idea why I didn't reply to this. Although they were two accidents, they were related even if they didn't happen at the same moment, so I would consider one entry to be best.
I'm moving onto pre-1950 Grand Prix crashes now my projects are all complete.

Well done chaps for the continuing work! A very impressive job has been done so far.
------------------------------------------
I'm afraid to say I have no time to work on any more projects until at least February 2017 (unless I want to fail my Uni course in my final year).
There are at least three projects which people can take on over the next few months:
Spa: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=14211
Indianapolis: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=14213
Monaco: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=14437
I'd suggest starting by indexing the photos, as I have done with the Nurburgring project here. Save them to a text file on your computer, then you can re-order them into category, or year, or however you like. Even if these don't get entered into the database at this stage, at least they're ready to be entered.
If there are other projects you'd like to do, which I haven't suggested, feel free, but please proceed as above.

What do you think should be the venue for rally events?
MM.org usually has the same term for both, e.g. here:
http://motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=5264
event:
Quit Targa West Rally 2006
venue:

Sorry Lucas, I only just saw your post. "Targa West Rally" is best for event. Then for circuit - either the stage name, the name of the nearest town, or whatever geographical location seems appropriate. I suppose I can see why Motorsport Memorial had different databases for motorcycle events, boats, aircraft...It's much easier to input that way.
----------------------------------------
Anyway, I have updated the database with all of the new images which have been posted on the forum since about September which fit into existing projects - F1 driver fatalities, Monza crashes, German crashes, British crashes etc...If you worked on one of these projects, please try to keep these up to date yourself as I need to work on new projects. You are welcome to use the CPdB's photo uploader to post these to the forum too.

Just yesterday, we passed the 2000-entry threshold. We've come quite a way in less than a year and a half, and I have to say I'm glad to be one of the many fine folks contributing to the CPDB. Here's to 3000!
