Here is a new one. William Rhoades, J. R. Crawford and an unidentified girl were reportedly killed in a race at Corona (sorry) in September 1913.

Worth investigating further.

It's better to ask @JThur01 about this accident as he has more knowledge about US racing scene. But words "may be fatally injured" bring suspicious to me; I have a feeling that accident was not fatal at all.

Yep, "may be fatally injured" in pre-1930s U.S. newspapers lingo is often a red flag. They were prone to being highly speculative. Rhodes didn't die, but has come up before. One of those linked newspaper items incorrectly has Crawford as Rhodes' riding mechanic. That was William "Billy" Warren, who was also injured, and has also come up before. The last item in the Los Angeles Times on all the injured parties at Corona is sub-headlined: "Other race victims are rapidly recovering." The article focused on Frank Sandhoffer. More on him below.

The non-fatalities at Corona come up repeatedly, primarily due to newspapers using "fatally injured":
Sterling Price, who also was reported killed in an accident at Corona in 1916.

And the case of (sic) Snead Hoffer, who was Barney Oldfield's riding mechanic and whose name was Frank Sandhoffer (see above)

Thank you. Once again.

What do you think of he situation? Generally, is motorsportmemorial guaranteed to function for the next years?

Also, this should be eligible. If not already added.

Honestly, it's difficult to say when our site will be back as situation was more serious than we initially thought as we almost became victims of hacker attack and now need to redesign our code. I hope that we'll take care of this problem in one or two weeks.

As for Víctor Magariños - he's eligible and I added him back in June. His page (currently not available) is http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... ct&n=14035.

Excuse me, Sedre, but what exactly do you mean by "almost became victims of hacker attack"?

Hacker managed to make changes in code in order to identify vulnerabilities which caused hosting to suspend access to website until we'll take care of code.

OK, so you were in fact the victims of a hacker attack.

Well, I hope you get it fixed soon.

Rant:
Thing is, plenty people out there hate mm.org and THE FASTLANE. The Cancel Culture Crusade is on, and so far, they've managed to shut down almost all of the shock sites. Extreme good riddance, but guess what. Their next move is to get rid of deplorable content such as ours. They'll do it by moving the goal posts, and making us equal to gore freaks. The New Black, as it were. It doesn't really help that we have inactive members here, who are spying around, trying to find a way to remove us from the internet. It doesn't really help that we have graphic content, as in pictures of dead people, showing up on google image searches, and leading directly here. It doesn't really help that we have never formed any true alliance. It doesn't really help that we don't listen to people like Erskine Kelly, who was quite clear about being a lawsuit waiting to happen. And that was way over 10 years ago. At some point, and as the development clearly indicates, they will come for us, with the sole purpose of ending our internet life. They will sabotage, hack, sue and doxx us, because we're deemed "not kosher".

All it'll take is one group of hysterical idiot fanatics, with a little bit of leverage, putting pressure on certain corporations. Disclaimers won't matter. The Narrative matters. And as this braindead nonsense escalates, so will the risk of legal trouble. As Harry Truman said: "the buck stops here". What he meant was, "the responsiblility is mine". The people responsible for mm.org and THE FASTLANE are the legal owners of these websites. And noone else. Not the members, the Kapos, or the green cleaning staff personnel.

I think you should consider these things in a very serious manner, before it's too late. I've been mentally preparing for the sad day when we are taken down, and all my work will be lost, and at this point, I must admit it has somehow lost its sting. My contributions since my return (I was asked back) have been considerable in number as well as quality, but I have also become lifeless and perfunctory. Routine. Moral obligation? Habit? Loyalty? I don't know, but it looks like it. Whoever once said "robotic", turned out to be right. I think this forum is a clone of a clone, at this point. We copied TeeBeeKay, and then we copied ourselves, to avoid the old monicker of "another one of those crash fora", yet we are still doing the exact same thing. It's all taking too long, and I don't accept the "busy with work" excuse. I'll wrap up a few things that I owe, and then I'll see where this place goes in the next year or so, from the position of observer. And if you don't want me in here, just kick my arse the fuck out, and have it over and done with. I don't care about majority opinion or other crypto-fascist systems of idiocy.

I'm glad I came back (and my personal thanks to the person in question for the impromptu invitation), and showed what I'm still capable of, even if it was all done in a manner absolutely devoid of passion. I've none left.

If unejected, I'll add the Legion Ascot-file, and some interesting articles, in the near future.
TL;DR-version:

Prepare for SHTF.

Ok, I read all your text and get your points. In my opinion, that hacking attack was possibly made with the goal to redirect visitors from our site to another one (I think something like this already happened in the past) or be used to automatically download viruses to visitors.

However, things that you'll think are pretty possible. I personally never met anyone who thinks that MM.org's idea and goal are morbid, macabre or offensive, despite I never hid the fact that I'm searching for auto racing fatalities - neither in university or at my job. There were only two occasions where someone raised questions about my doings - one when during drinking after graduating one of my friends asked me if I'm searching fatalities to somehow assert myself but I denied this; and another was girl from our university department with whom I talked for three months - she tried to convince me to demand money from website for my work but I made clear to her that I don't want to hear such questions (this was one of reasons why I stopped to talk with her).

But, as you say, there are people who clearly dislike MM (I remember that article whose author even called our site "death pornography" or something like this) and they'll try to remove us, especially in age of humanity's best invention called "Cancel Culture". But, in my opinion, they don't need hacking - scandal will be enough. For example, you have LWF page for Francis Mariani who was gangster (which is true, but he also was prominent Corsian rally driver), or you have page for certain racer who was sex offender (I would not call name, despite it won't be familiar to you, but yes, there was one case where I tried to find more information on American racer and found him on Sex Offenders List), after all they can say that their cousin-once-removed's friend's greatuncle's stepson's ex-girlfriend whom the latter dated in tenth grade once heard in bar that some rookie racer from Texas in 1930s said racist slur and then crashed fatally and as this racer is in MM, our website should be prohibited (this one is not real, probably). The more painful butthurt, the delusional ideas for blocking will be.

Whatever it will happen, I'm not planning to stop my activity. Even before I started to work with Motorsport Memorial I understood for myself that once I started to search fatalities, I cannot stop to do it. I have pauses for several reasons, but the longest was about 3 weeks. While access to the website as well as our editor interface are temporarily suspended, our database is still there, just waiting to be opened and updated.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention one "incident" which happened last Autumn when I already was an editor. Sal (if someone did not know him - MM.org admin and founder) received an email from one lady from Germany who called our website "fake" as she had three children with Ayrton Senna and our site is showing him dead.
