Bloody Hell. What a belter of a Moto3 race we have on now. 5 laps to go and I can hardly watch. Brilliant stuff.

Sad way to lose a World Championship challenge but also a great ride to win one. Congrats to Pedro Acosta. I think the first rookie to win a world title for many a year. (Capirossi in 1990?) And also the youngest ever winner. He has had a few firsts in his debut year..... he won at Doha having started from pitlane, the first rider to manage a win from a pitlane start.

I cannot wait to see how out of depth Darryn Binder will be in MotoGP next season :whistling:

:haha: :haha: Well, if tonight's display is anything to go by, given the differential in performance of the big boys toys from Moto3, he will be a liability. I mean that move tonight was a misjudgement of at least 20 metres. To me he looks out of his depth in Moto 3. :whistling:

Everso Biggyballies wrote: 2 years ago Marquez to miss Algarve MotoGP round after training accident

It seems MM93 cant take a trick at the moment..... after a lengthy re-acclimatisation after his injury caused season layoff, just as he seemed to be getting back up to speed it has all gone pear-shaped again.
And it isnt getting any better in a hurry.....

Marquez ruled out of season finale at Valencia

It seems his concussion that ruled him out of last weekkend is now affecting his vision in what is a problem he suffered with an earlier concussion a decade ago.
“The examination carried out on Marc Marquez today after the accident that occurred has confirmed that the rider has diplopia and has revealed a paralysis of the fourth right nerve with involvement of the right superior oblique muscle," Doctor Sanchez Dalmau, Marquez's ophthalmologist, said.

"A conservative treatment with periodic updates has been chosen to follow with the clinical evolution. This fourth right nerve is the one that was already injured in 2011.”
Marquez will likely be replaced by HRC test rider Stefan Bradl, who took MM93's place at the Algarve GP and scored a point in 15th.
So this year has been pretty much a write off for Marquez.

I wonder how he will get on next year with the likes of Bagnaia particularly, but also Quartararo being in such strong form at the moment.

Well I got that one wrong.

No Bradl in MM93's place this weekend. In fact no one in for Marc.

Honda's statement today....
“On Tuesday it was announced that Marc Marquez will miss both the Valencia Grand Prix and the Jerez Test due to diplopia after a training crash,” read the works Honda team’s pre-event press release, in part.

“The Repsol Honda Team have elected not to field a replacement for the Valencia GP weekend.”
Marquez will also miss the post-season test which takes place at Jerez on November 18-19.

I remember watching Rossi back when he first started in 125s. Used to watch the bikes religiously with my dad back then.

Man, his antics back in the day. He was a blast on and off the track.

Sorry to see him retire. But great that he made it intact after all these years. Well, with one race to go, anyway.

Hopefully he enjoys retirement!

Crikey he cut it fine though, his lead only 4 points in the end. And at one stage in the race today he was 12th with Fernandez leading.
Anyway, Well done Remy. :flag: :woo:
Have we had Father and son World Champs in bikes before? Doh...just remembered Kenny and Kenny Roberts Jnr.:whistling: :banghead:
All Remy has to do now to match them is win in MotoGP. Not sure he has it in him tbh, and think he will struggle next year.

Anyway congrats on the title to him, even if he tried hard to lose it having been cruising a one stage. He was near enough two races clear at one stage (after the British GP he must have been close to that.)

Ducati take their first ever 1-2-3 in Moto GP History at Valencia. A good way for them to close out the season.

Ducati really flexed their muscles at a track that basically has no straights and would be considered a bogey for them. For all the praise Quartararo has received, his title almost has a Joan Mir feel to it. Yeah, he won 5 races but it seems like Ducati has been throwing a ton of points over the season. Bagnaia had a slow start, Martin had this injury after a breakthrough performance and then Miller cooled off in the summer. I'm sceptical whether Bagnaia can repeat such a strong run next season when the pressure will be on from day one.

Yeah, I have zero faith in that.
