Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
The Oschersleben Motopark project was born in 1995. In July 1997, the Motopark opened and hosted its first races. The first edition of the 24 Hours of Oschersleben took place as early as the following year and in 1999, the 24 Hours of Oschersleben, the highlight of the German Speedweek, was registered in the Endurance World Championship. This great Endurance Championship meeting changed format in 2008 and became an 8-hour event. The signature event race of the Speed Week, the 8 Hours of Oschersleben traditionally is contested on Saturday.

More saferty cars, the latest one for a mixture of the wet track and oil from dropped / damaged bikes making the track treacherous on the back straight and near the pit lane exit. SC has been out for an hour recently with 2 hours left. They are frantically cleaning up to stop oil being spread round the whole circuit.
Unfortunately it seems to me that the damp conditions have played into those using Bridgestone tyres as they fill the top 9 or 10 plaaces currently.
Mind you even in the dry earlier the #21 Works Yamaha looked to be a quick bike and more comfortable near the limit. They still lead from Honda atm. Jonathan Rea had an odd off on his Kwakka that might have been oil related.

Looks like the SC might be coming in.... the sun appears to be out although it is getting closer to dark with long shadows. An hour and three quarters near enough to go.

Great stint from VdM on the leading Yamaha, not killing his tyres and cooling them in wet patches as he continued, still lapping some 2 seconds faster than others and now with a lap clear. With just over an hour left he pits and hands over to Lowes. Still running a (new) grooved tyre as the track remains damp in many places
