Frentzen Canada 2001 Crash
HHF missed the Canadian GO in 2001 after a heavy crash in the practice session. This, following on from another crash in Monaco the race weekend previously, meant he had to pull out.
I googled this as I didn't remember anything of this accident - only the 1999 crash.
Has anybody got anything of this one, or the Monaco 2001 crash?

Reading some reports, it appears he didn't crash in Canada, but only at Monaco.DoubleFart wrote: ↑4 years ago HHF missed the Canadian GO in 2001 after a heavy crash in the practice session. This, following on from another crash in Monaco the race weekend previously, meant he had to pull out.

After that crash, he went in Canada and drove in friday's free practice sessions, but had some problems (vertigo, headache and vision problems) and decided to quit.

According to one of our local racing magazines of that time (Formula-1, issue of July 2001, p.37-38), Frentzen actually crashed during Friday practice.

Translation:
No photos of accident.During end of practice Frentzen left the track, but didn't reached barrier. However, one lap after, he managed to do this, and his Jordan was damaged more than tire barriers in which he crashed at speed.

Due to heavy impact (maybe, it was affected by consequences of serious crash in Monaco), Hainz-Harald received light brain concussion which led to worsening of his sight, vertigo and headache. So it was decided to send him to hospital bed...

Must be photos. I'll see if I can find a video tomorrow of the practice session. What was it, FP1?
