Re: Top race(s) of the 2010s? - Let's try to get 50 votes!

Latest post of the previous page:

Canada 11
Brazil 12
Germany 19

I thought Valencia was ok, but it was one of those typical undeserved Alonso victories where he got double lucky. Cars colliding also doesn't make for a good race IMO. It's for the same reason that Brazil 16 and Baku 17 don't get higher praise from me - some of the drivers looked like idiots in Baku that day, and the fact Lance Strololol got a podium underlined the poor driving and strategy.

#1 Brazil 2016: Masterclass of Max in the wet; even the most respected drivers were blown away!
Can't shake off the Dutch pride for Max, can you? ;)

Anyway, thanks all for voting. We're on 47 votes. Just three away from the magic 50. Let's wait a few more days and see what happens.

Still waiting for @kals to return and give us his vote!

We are proud of him. We aren't spoiled with tons of WDC's. He is the first Dutch driver who won a GP. From May 1950 till May 2016 the victories counter showed "0". And what he showed in Brazil was outstanding. How many times the Brazilians shouted "Senna" to Lewis?

I hadn’t voted either. After great difficulty I picked Baku 2017, Brazil 2012 and Canada 2011, with the latter for me being the overall race of the decade.

EDIT: just saw the results after I voted and I was surprised that essentially everyone agrees!

Mine too. Not too many good races there lately, though.

He is the first one to finally win a GP for The Netherlands! Can you imagine watching a sport where no one from you country can participate in, let alone win a GP? And please know that I have been astonished by other moments as well, I like racing! But when your countryman is doing well it feels very, very special

I guess us Brits (wherever we live have been spoilt in the regard to local GP winners, as have other nations. I know in Australia we (they!) get a bit excited over a local winner. (Australia might be home, and has been for 35 years but I am still very British in terms of who I support. Excluding Lewis.
