Well, there was less drama than I anticipated and for once Kirkwood didn't stuff it into the wall either.
A mechanical DNF for Dixon. Hell has frozen over!
O'Ward looking like a real championship contender until he acctidentally turned on the Yakety Sax button.
Alexander Rossi fumbles another good result, it's getting more obvious why Andretti ditched him.
Rossi suffered a mechanical, it seems.
"Frustrating day for the team, a long day particularly for Pato and Alexander. Racing can be pretty cruel at times. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn, and we have a lot to learn from today. Felix drove a great race, and he made the most of what he had. It was tricky to make hay the way the cautions fell. He did a great job there. Alexander was on for a great finish until the issues on the last lap. The team needs to look into that. We don't fully understand what was going on there yet, but it's a real shame because he also had a pretty strong race pace and was making the most of what he had. Pato's race, he had a little spin there, and we were really looking strong. That first caution hurt his strategy a bit, and we kind of ran out of tires there and that put us in an awkward position on fuel save. It is what it is."
Race highlights now that the forums are working again.
I think it's great that Kyle got his first win given his quite unfortunate start of the season. His entire 2nd half was possibly as perfect as it could have gotten. Grosjean tried but probably would have used more fuel if he had used the P2P button.
Newgarden dropping like a stone in the end was a surprise given he looked really good before the pit stop. Setup change?? dont know
Pato didn't had his best day but still I guess salvaged a result, Dixon will not be pleased about it but it is what it is.
And wonder what the Juncos strategy with Canapino was at the restart,Callum exiting the pits directly in front and it caused a slightly chaotic lap on the restart.
