Bottom post of the previous page:

I get the “invalid form” error when trying to log in as others have mentioned. Maybe I can get in with Chrome, but I don’t have the same functionality I’ve been using (we are not supposed to be using Chrome on our work laptops).
Just a tip: Open IE, Chrome or Firefox in a Private / Incognito Mode window. Then login to the forum like that. After a day or so, the cookies you had saved should clear and you'll be able to login again regularly.

I had to delete site specific cookies on FF, that did the trick. Any modern browser should have that capability.

@PTRACER The backed up site Racing circuits is still found at https://www.the-fastlane.co.uk/racingcircuits
We could leave it that way, depending on what we want to do with it.

Thanks. That works in Incognito mode, but I tried deleting cookies first. Not sure why I can't log in regular mode.

Jeez, what a ride!

I couldn't log in all day long, even tried to register anew and it wouldn't accept ANY input! :annoyed:

Just saw this thread, and followed the advice in the last post, and for the first time in my life :haha: opened a window in "Private Mode" - I never knew that existed, let alone what it was!* Still don't know what I'm doing but, heck, at least I am online again.

* Maybe a 'secret' mode to watch porn :haha:

I'm still toying around with that site. I got everything backed up locally, so moving the whole page around shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just let me know if you move it, else I'll end up confused next time I'll upload an update.

BTW The forums seem to have lost the favicon for me.

Is this going to stay like this? I mean, I don't know, "private mode" has worked thus far, and perhaps I should just accept it and go on, but... it feels strange! :idunno:

Yea, I am able to access the board via my IPhone (but not my computer). But, this is painful.

P.S. I can also access it from my laptop. Just can't access the site from my main PC.

These logging in problems i have also with www.metalmessiahradio.com. Sometimes i can reach the site. Sometimes it times out. No effect with different browsers. Or clearing cache.

Guys, all I can do is recommend clearing your cookies. You have to clear them fully, not just the default settings. Everything needs to go, except for Saved Passwords.

I found the problem, I think. Please see the bright red message on the forum index page.

Prior to seeing this message I tried the following

OK I was only able to access via Firefox Private window, Chrome, my usual browser would not allow me to log in.

Looking back through other threads I found the post from @PTRACER shown below. I followed that and tried to log in on a normal Chrome (ie not Incognito / Private)

IT WORKED. Logged in no problems as before we had any issues.

Following the instructions below has worked for me to go back to how it was before. Those still struggling with having to log in with a Private ? Incognito on an different browser should try this. It offered me options from one hour to all.... I clicked 4 weeks. As soon as I did that I went to the new https://forums.the-fastlane.co.uk/ address with a standard Chrome window, and was able to log in normally with no warnings or Invalid form submitted crap.

So I no longer have to use Firefox in Private (Porn?) mode. Back to what I have always used prior to the issues.

If you have any problems with Chrome, I recommend using the built-in cleanup functions. Like click on History > History then Clear Browsing Data. Also make sure you have the latest Chrome installed. (Help > About Google Chrome). I'm running version 108.0.xxx

@Everso Biggyballies Thanks for sharing that breakdown above, that is really helpful!

I added one more piece of advice - please update your browser bookmarks to the following URL in full:
https://forums.the-fastlane.co.uk

I found out that if you don't include the "s" in https, the forum will log you out every time you switch tabs. Maybe this was @Motorsportrace's problem all along?

Thanks to your continuing efforts, Paul, everything seems to be back to normal!

It worked for me even without "clearing my cookies", which is good because I don't have a darn idea how to do that! :haha:
