Gareth Howell but not the one who later had an on-off stint with Team Dynamics.

The World Racing Series, conceptualized by Charlotte Motor Speedway president Humpy Wheeler in 1993 as a merging of IMSA GTP's high-tech design aesthetic with the more accessible inner-workings of a NASCAR stock car.

Looks like it would have been quite a spectacular series if it had gone ahead.

I believe the Jag was the last car Andy Rouse built prior to closing his workshop. Its been hidden away for 18years but was offered for sale last year. Not sure if it found a buyer.
More on the Jag here. https://www.stuff.co.nz/motoring/125630 ... 0CNC%20AWS.

The concept of SCV8 from a fan pov was great and sad it never happened. Spaceframe chassis and race suspension / brakes all clothed in accurate / production bodywork with a 550bhp V8 engine and sequential gearbox / transaxle would sound familiar to Aussies.

Good inclusion in the thread. Fits the title perfectly

This is in memory of the recently deceased Karl "Slim" Borgudd. He entered this Mazda 323F in the 1995 British Touring Car Championship under the Team Magic banner. The car has resurfaced in club racing in recent years.
